Lawmaker Characters

Whether you’re battling along side them, against them, or playing as them, you’ll interact with over 35 individual characters throughout the Lawmaker universe. They have their own goals and agendas, and they definitely have their own way of dealing with little “problems” that come up during the course of the day. If you become one of those problems, you might just find yourself on the business end of a hand cannon.

COLT KAUFMAN

You play as Colt, the hero of this tale. Called back from the front lines of the Indian Wars, you come home to a disaster at the family estate. You will find that old friends have become new enemies, and the word ‘trust’ no longer carries any weight. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer if you want to stay alive.

JOHN WESTON

The more this man ages, the stronger he seems to get. An old family friend, Weston is the only one who stands by Colt’s side when the tragedies go down at the Kaufman Estate. But in a town where everyone’s pockets are lined, will he mount up when you’re ready to make your final stand?

COLIN McMURTRY

Though he may be a man of the cloth, Colin will never shy away from action when it’s needed. His church is usually a place of peace and penitence, but there are times when blood must spill in the most sacred of settings.

KAUFMAN - DEPUTY

The long arm of the law in Kaufman, this class of men are the first responders. When trouble arises in town, you can bet that they’ll be on the scene at the drop of a hat. Less adept than their military brethren, they can still throw down with the best of them.

CHRISTY

These patrons usually represent the more photogenic aspect of western life. They can be spotted scuffling around in their long dresses, looking pretty, and sometimes getting in the way of a target. Just remember, men typically don’t react well to seeing a woman’s blood spilled.

GUNNER McGRATH

This man is hard as nails, and has about the same personality. He fought right alongside of Colt on the front lines, but skipped out when he saw his chance to steal Honey Palmer.

CAVALRY GENERAL

This guy frequently visits Kaufman from the Army outpost just outside of town. A powerful, battle-hardened warrior, he’s never found without an entourage. His companions will defend him to the end and they’ll do his bidding without question.

MARIA

RICHARD HEAD

The gavel of Kaufman, this man rules from the bench with an iron fist. He holds the record for the most hangings in a month, and he had a plaque placed on his wall to commemorate the event. Find yourself on his bad side and you probably won’t even make it to the courtroom.

DWAYNE RUDD

The Colossus of Kaufman, this man has money, power, and influence. His sheer authority assures that he’ll never find himself on the defensive, and his lengthy list of mercenaries allows him to stamp out problems without a second thought. This old family friend might just be the key to catching those responsible for wronging Colt that stormy night at the Kaufman Estate.

JOHN CARTWRIGHT

The moneyman of Kaufman, he holds the purse strings of the town like a noose around the neck of the condemned during a string up. At the end of the day, money talks, and he decides who does and does not walk. His list of enemies is long, but his payroll is longer. He is one of the untouchables.

ISAIAH CARBUNKLE

Being Cartwright’s right hand man is no easy task, and Isaiah picks up all the dirt so Cartwright can stay squeaky clean. A man who knows how to get things done, he is the only man with direct access to Cartwright. He might be your only hope of getting close to the man with the cash.

DWIGHT RUDD

Only a fraction the man his father is, this guy lives and breathes women, wine, and gambling. Nobody is ever quite sure what he’s up to, and there’s usually nobody left to tell the tale when he’s done. Just hope that he doesn’t call on you.
